From the early experiences of cutting
out pieces of balsa wood to build
airplanes, to stay “within the line”
of paint-by-number sets,
David Haneman has given attention
to details. He has combined his
love of macro photography with the
crispness of the pen to drawing.
He is a self-taught artist who has
an artistic lineage. His grandfather
was an award winning
David is also an award winning
photographer with the
Triangle Photographers Association
and has won many awards with his
pen and ink drawings and graphic art.
Many of his drawings are architectural
in nature using the detail of the pen.
David and his wife Sherry live in a
quaint 150-year old house in the
rivertowne of Marietta, Lancaster County PA.
They are members of the
Marietta Restoration Associates and
